Smoky cinnamon tea for memory and creativity
Picture a broom sweeping out the cobwebs in your head while clean air fills the space. That’s what happens when holy basil and sage combine forces. You can get a great buzz off this one! Sage can be real earthy though, so I like to pair it with cinnamon which gives it that smoky, robust flavor. I added orange peel since the “cinnamon-holy basil-orange peel” trio is known for bringing out the best in each other.
Campfire Companion is one of the most popular blends because of its enticing aroma. The concept of the tea is based on my friend, Jared, a wanderer in search of a campfire to clear his head. Back when we worked together, Jared was living out of his car (on the streets of D.C, nonetheless). He eventually settled in an apartment, but wouldn’t spend much time there. He took a gig working monitors for an upcoming rock band and within two weeks of the job, the band hit it BIG with a Top 10 hit. They’ve been touring the world and back since then, and I can only assume Jared’s head is spinning. Here’s a tea to ground him.
Originally developed as a creative aid for making music, Campfire Companion also includes the mighty fine gotu kola for big brain power. I couldn’t resist adding rose petals. After all, there’s something very zen about the appearance of cinnamon with rose petals. Lastly, what’s a bonfire without marshmallows? Jared’s immune system will get a boost from marshmallow root to help him stay healthy on the road!
