A ginger lemongrass digestion tea for upset stomachs
A ginger-lemongrass digestion tea from the Craft Tea Archives and one of my earliest blends. Simple, but pleasing. One of the more popular ones in cafes, because it is comforting, warming, and the most potent aroma at Craft Tea.
The art on the label is a nod to Hedgehog in the Fog, an award winning Russian animation about a bear and hedgehog who meet daily for tea, but one day Hedgehog gets lost in the fog. Highly recommended watch for those who like bears and/or hedgehogs.
Vinyl Pairing: The Kinks - Something Else! (Pye Records, 1967)
Ray (and Dave) Davies of The Kinks sure know how to write a pop song. The previous album, Face to Face, began their psychedelia sound, and Something Else features a great blend of early R&B / British mod-rock with the more elaborate, theatrical chamber pop that the Kinks would continue to use on a string of concept albums. IMO, you can’t go wrong with any Kinks album before Muswell Hillbillies (1971), and Something Else is a pretty good place to start a Kinks quest.
