A classic, delicious black tea with light fruity notes
Walt’s Wild Ride is based off of my friend’s dog, Walt. He’s quite the character and people love the cover for Class Cat (featuring tuxedo cat, Henry Pepperoni) so it’s only fair we share a dog tuxie as well. This tea originated from drawing I made of Walt riding a skateboard down a hill with fruit in his mouth. Sometimes an image precedes the tea and it results in a fun blend…
Class Cat’s art was done by Henry’s owner, so keeping the theme, we used Walt’s owner, Sarah Jacoby. It’s a thrill to have a Sarah Jacoby original - she is a talent and a treasure. You may know her from her work in *cough* The New York Times *cough* or as the author and illustrator of her debut book, Forever or a Day. There’s even some people who remember her as the star player on their high school basketball team... I mean, how cool is that? She’s like Max Fischer from Rushmore!
As far as the tea goes, the Khongea Assam is a remarkable, malty tea. On its own it resembles a delicious English Breakfast – full and bold. It’s paired lightly with a few fruity herbs to give it Walt’s “zip.” Rose hips, elder berries, and orange peel pep you up from the vitamin C, with goji berries sprinkled on top. Wanna go for a ride?
